NXT 20TH JULY 2010

The Miz, Alex Riley, Lucky Cannon, and Matt Striker stood in the ring. Lucky cut his promo as to why he should win. He said he was not going to say he was the best or he deserved it more. He just said he was having fun and thanked the crowd. Alex Riley said he did not like the fans and the fans did not like him. The Miz said the fans should vote for Alex Riley because the future WWE Champion told them to.

Alex Riley (w/The Miz) vs Lucky Cannon
Cannon fell to the overly-confident NXT Rookie, Alex Riley, in singles action. But Cannon’s night got worse after the loss when he was attacked by Riley’s WWE Pro, The Miz, with the Money in the Bank briefcase. The United States Champion nailed Cannon into the briefcase with the Skull Crushing Finale, just as he did the previous night to WWE Champion Sheamus.

Sheamus leaves the ring when the e-mail alert goes off. Cole reads the message. The GM says that if Miz wants to cash in tonight, he should stay at ringside and watch the next match which will be Sheamus vs. Evan Bourne. Bourne's music hits and out he comes.

    Sheamus vs. Evan Bourne

    MONEY IN THE BANK RESULTS

RAW's Money in the Bank Match: Randy Orton vs. Edge vs. The Miz vs. John Morrison vs. Mark Henry vs. Chris Jericho vs. Evan Bourne vs. Ted DiBiase
We go to the ring as Voices plays and out comes Randy Orton for RAW's Money in the Bank match. Orton gets a big pop. The Superstars make their entrances and Edge is out last as we get ready to go. The bell rings and Edge goes right out to the floor.

A couple of people go for the ladder, but everyone turns to Mark Henry instead. Henry fights them off, and things pretty much just break down into a brawl. Miz hits his clothesline in the corner on Henry and Bourne follows it up with a dropkick in the corner. Edge is the first man to go for the briefcase, but Orton is there to stop him, pulling him from the ladder and sending him to the outside where he follows and pounds on him. Back in the ring, Morrison ducks a ladder shot from DiBiase and hits a kick to the back, but DiBiase responds with a clothesline that puts Morrison down on the ladder. DiBiase hits Orton with a ladder, but eats a dropkick that sends a ladder into his chest, from Bourne. Miz sends Bourne from the ring, and he and Jericho square off, with Jericho getting the better of Miz.

Jericho and Miz continues to fight, right up until Mark Henry throws a ladder into both mens faces. Miz ends up in 619 position, and Henry jumps on Miz's head and out to the floor, hanging Miz on the rope. Jericho smashes Henry with the ladder, then goes into the ring where Bourne is trying to climb up a ladder. Bourne senses Jericho and dropkicks him. Bourne climbs the ladder and Edge tries to stop him, so Bourne responds with a hurricarana that sends Edge to the outside. Orton comes into the ring where he pulls Bourne through the rungs of the ladder and hits his signature DDT. Morrison is in out of nowhere and hits a huge kick to Orton's head. Morrison tries to suplex DiBiase onto a ladder, but Miz comes in to break it up and both men pound on Morrison for a bit.

A ladder is set up in the corner, and Miz charges Morrison, finding himself flapjacked face first into the ladder. DiBiase charges, and eats a drop toe hold, also into the ladder. Morrison sets up the ladder and climbs, getting to the top. Edge is quick to climb the other side and he and Morrison slug it out. Jericho sets up another ladder, and Orton climbs up on the other side. All four men reach for the briefcase, and Mark Henry comes out of nowhere, in between both ladders, and pushes them both over, sending them to the outside. Bourne is there and he springboards into Mark Henry, hitting a double knees to the chest. Maryse is shown checking on DiBiase, and she looks to the ladders. She climbs into the ring and takes off her heels.

Maryse sets up the ladder and she begins the climb. She gets all the way to the top, but Morrison is there. He tries to help her down, but she doesn't want to come down. Morrison pulls her down and sets her on her feet and Dibiase tries to sneak up the ladder. Morrison stops him, but Dibiase slams him headfirst into another ladder. Dibiase grabs a ladder and tries to splash Morrison in the corner, but Morrison moves and Dibiase slams into the corner. On the outside Miz concentracts on Morrison, setting a ladder up against the ring pose, and body slamming Morrison into the barricade before slingshotting Morrison onto the ladder. Morrison climbs the ladder into the ring and uses another ladder to get to yet another ladder, which Edge is on, and Morrison comes close to grabbing the briefcase. Edge grabs Morrison's legs and pulls him through the ladder, where he and Miz put another ladder, and slam it up and down into Morrison's midsection before Edge simply pushes the ladder over. Morrison falls to the outside.

Dibiase is in the ring and he uses a ladder to smash Edge's midsection. Dibiase goes for another ladder, and he and Jericho tangle over it. Dibiase fights off Jericho, and also hits Orton with the ladder. Dibiase is able to fight off Edge, and he goes up the ladder, but Henry is able to stop him. Dibiase tries to hit a cross body from the ladder, but Henry catches him and hits a world's strongest slam. Jericho charges Henry and eats a ladder to the face. The ladder lands on Jericho and Henry slams Miz on top of both. Henry tries to climb the ladder and Bourne climbs on his back. Orton and Edge pull Henry off, but Bourne is still there with his hands on his briefcase. Orton and Edge pull Bourne off and throw him to the outside where Henry catches him and delivers another World's strongest slam. Henry eats a code breaker and a spear on the outside.

Miz, Morrison, Jericho and Orton try to climb some weird amalgamation of ladders that looks really unsafe. Dibiase puts another ladder in there somewhere and pulls off Miz, who slams face first into the ladder. Everyone's had their hands on the briefcase. Dibiase is pulled down on top of the 'scaffolded' ladder, and he's pushed to the outside by Orton and Edge. Orton strikes with the RKO on Edge out of nowhere. Morrison and Jericho are fighting on top of the ladder and Jericho is very close. Morrison is able to take Jericho down by punching Jericho's hand. Orton pulls Morrison down and hits an RKO then immediately eats a shooting star press from Bourne. Bourne begins the climb up the ladder and Jericho is still hung up in the ladder. Bourne is so close, but Jericho is able to get upright. Bourne fights him off for a bit, but Jericho comes right back and uses the briefcase to smash Bourne in the head and send him off the ladder.

Jericho is up on the ladder but the briefcase is swinging wildly. Edge is up on the other side and both men slug it out. Jericho reaches and gets his hands on the briefcase but Edge is still there. Jericho falls from the ladder and Orton connects with the RKO while he's on the way down. Orton pushes Edge off the ladder and he falls into an open, upside down ladder in what looks to be an incredibly painful fall. Orton climbs the ladder, and grabs the briefcase, but Miz is there out of nowhere and he pushes Orton off and into the ropes. Miz climbs and gets his hands on the briefcase, pulling it down.

    Winner: The Miz

After the match, The Miz takes the mic and puts himself over. Miz said he has made believers out of all the pretenders, the critics and the skeptics. Miz says he is Mr. Money in the Bank and a future WWE Champion. Miz is yelling here. He says he's awesome and his music hits. Miz raises the briefcase and then kisses it.

    "MIZ-TER" MONEY IN THE BANK

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Eight of Raw’s top Superstars collided for a coveted WWE Title opportunity at Money in the Bank. At the end of a punishing and precarious bout, it was United States Champion The Miz who would ascend the ladder and snatch the briefcase out of the air in the Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match, earning the notorious egotist a WWE Championship Match wherever or whenever he wants in the next year.

After hitting RKOs on no less than three of his opponents, it seemed as though Randy Orton had bested Evan Bourne, Mark Henry, John Morrison, Edge, Chris Jericho, Ted DiBiase and The "Awesome One," but The Miz (and his ego) ultimately climbed the rungs and nabbed the briefcase, because he’s The Miz, and he’s … “Mr. Money in the Bank.”

"You are all living in my moment," boasted The Miz following the match.

Although The "Awesome One" has hardly abstained from shooting off his mouth in the weeks leading up to this anticipated bout, he affirmed to the WWE Universe that actions speak even louder than words as he began methodically dismantling his opponents. His first target was his longtime rival R-Truth, whom he brutally attacked on Raw and rendered unable to compete at Money in the Bank. Then, just six days before Money in the Bank, the increasingly aggressive U.S. Champion hobbled The World's Strongest Man – R-Truth’s replacement in this match – adding insult to injury by dumping garbage on his fallen foe.

Clearly, The Miz wasn’t interested in forging alliances with any of the Superstars competing in the Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but neither were his opponents. When the participants in this match were announced, Edge was quick to remind the WWE Universe that he was the first-ever Mr. Money in the Bank, and is the only Superstar to not only win two Money in the Bank contracts, but to cash them in to win two World Titles. The Rated-R Superstar’s self-congratulatory attitude made him the target of just about every Superstar in this match, namely Jericho and The Viper.

Meanwhile, DiBiase – having enlisted the aid of Maryse as his “protection” – was certain that he and the Raw Money in the Bank briefcase would become WWE’s “million dollar couple,” earning the multi-generation Superstar a new rival in the form of Morrison. As Superstars and ladders lay strewn about the ring and at ringside during this explosive encounter, it was The Shaman of Sexy who prevented DiBiase's devious French-Canadian gal pal from sneaking up a ladder to win the match for her beau.

Bourne, competing in his second-ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match after an awe-inspiring aerial performance at WrestleMania XXVI, went into the Sprint Center having suffered two RKOs in as many weeks, instilling in the energetic young Superstar a sobering fact about this type of contest: It’s every Superstar for himself. Keeping that in mind, "Air" Bourne earned some retribution at Money in the Bank when he nailed The Viper with a dazzling Shooting Star Press. Bourne might be the aerialist, but at Money in the Bank, it was The Miz who scaled the heights.

Since his mean(er) streak “paid off” at Money in the Bank, when will The “Awesome One" cash in his WWE Title opportunity? And now that The Miz is in possession of both the Raw Money in the Bank briefcase and the United States Championship, will the WWE Universe ever hear the end of it? Stay tuned to Raw on Mondays to find out.

MIZ ON MUSIC BLOG: GAME TIME

No beating around the bush for this "Miz on Music" this time. We are going gamer.

I just went to E3 or "nerd heaven" and couldn't believe how much music is envolved with the making of great video games.

After talking to "gamers." as they like to be called, (I call them a bunch of Evan Bournes aka "nerds"), I found a whole new genre in music.

Music in games. Sounds weird, right? Until you think about it these nerds know what's up and not R-Truth "what's up," I'm talking video games that we grew up to ... music like behind-the-scenes type stuff.

For example, for anyone that lived through the late 80s, can you hum the tune of Super Mario Bros.? I can, and I haven't played it in 15 years. It made me think of the top music in games. It doesn't matter where you are or what you are doing, you can sing or hum that game's song on the spot, no matter how long it's been since you played it. That stupid song made that much of an impact on your life. I'm gonna let my inner Kofi Kingston (dork) come out.

Here's the video games I came up with. First off, the big news out of Nintendo at E3 was the revamping of a bunch of games I loved as a kid. From what I heard, they looked amazing, so I can't wait for them to come out.

One of these games was Zelda. I can remember as a kid playing this game for days non-stop. I can still hear the background song playing till this day. Next up are Donkey Kong, Galaga, and Ms. Pacman. I actually have all these games on my Super Arcade and literally play all of them before I leave my condo. Ms. Pac-Man's chomps are always in my head. Which games do you think have the best music?

Another reason I went into video game music for this blog was the band I Fight Dragons, who made my theme song "I Came to Play" into a 8-bit video game version, and it's, how do I put this, awesome!

Their song "Money" is the WWE Money in the Bank PPV theme song, which I plan on winning, so this band is definitely high on my list. I Fight Dragons is like a Weezer meets Final Fantasy. They actually use real instruments with synth tones generated directly from vintage Nintendo sound cards. How sweet is that gamers?

Well, that's it for this time Mizfits. New songs on the iPod are Richy Nix's "In My Head," Five Finger Death Punch's "Bad Company," and Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare."

If you remember anything in your life, remember this ... I'm The Miz and I'm Awesome!

    NXT 13TH JULY 2010

The Miz and Alex Riley vs Mark Henry and Lucky Cannon
Miz had Riley start with Henry and was not happy with his performance. Cannon tagged in and focused on the left arm of Alex Riley.

Cannon, with Riley on the floor, tried a slingshot high cross body, but he was too close to the steel ring steps and awkwardly landed on them. Riley scored a nearfall on Cannon coming back from the break. Miz finally tagged in for his team and controlled Cannon before tagging Riley back in. Henry finally got ahold of Miz and landed some shots. Miz tagged Riley. Henry lifted him into the ring right into a WSS for the win. Afterward, Henry poured some garbage on Riley as Miz watched from the ramp.

    Battle Royal
The Miz eliminated Zack Ryder because Ryder was annoying him. Miz tried to call a truce with Nexus. It didn't work. Miz then eliminated himself.

    RAW 12TH JULY 2010

And it is Mark Henry.

    Mark Henry vs. The Miz

Henry slams him into the apron. Miz drops Henry on the floor and starts hitting him with trash cans. It looks like Henry hit his head on the podium. WEEKEND HOUSE SHOW RESULTS
7/9 WWE Raw House Show - Peoria, Illinois:
The Miz b. John Morrison & Ted DiBiase in a triple threat match to retain the WWE US Championship.

7/10 WWE Raw House Show - Rockford, Illinois:
Triple threat match for United States Title The Miz vs Ted DiBiase vs John Morrison

First out was the champion, The Miz, who cut a promo asking us if we thought we could beat him up, which of course, everyone said yes. Like Edge, The Miz talked about how bad Rockford is, in which I actually agree with him. He then states that he is one of the most dominate superstars in the in the locker room, “Because I’m The Miz… and I’m… No, you do not get to say my catchphrase! You need to shut your mouths, your not good enough to say my catchphrase, because I’m The Miz... and I’m awesome!” It was a great heel promo in my eyes by The Miz. Next out was Ted DiBiase, without Maryse, but with the Million Dollar Championship. And then, last but defiantly not least, was John Morrison. This was probably the next best wrestling match of the night, second only to the Edge-Bourne match from earlier. Morrison worked the whole match, with only The Miz and DiBiase taking turns outside. Finish came when John Morrison hit Starship Plain on Ted DiBiase, then Miz broke up the count and hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Morrison, and then getting the win to retain his US Title.

7/11 WWE Raw House Show - Huntington, West Virginia:
WWE United States Champion The Miz b. Ted DiBiase & John Morrison in a triple-threat match.
